Most Useful Websites For Filmmakers?
But alas.... I was surprised not to see FilmmakerMagazineBlog on it which I read religiously -- oh wait, they are their competitor. Now I get it. And let me admit it, I was truly bummed not to see Truly Free Film there. Or HammerToNail. I guess I just have to try harder. Or you could do me a favor (give me the strength to go on...) and stage a write in campaign to their blog and encourage them to add TFF & HTN to the list! Thanks! And if you ever have a thought about what will make this blog more useful, or even what you would like some discussion on, don't hesitate to write in and let me know. Comments: You're a fairly new site and you don't update it that much. And MovieMaker is a silly magazine. Comments: It's actually shocking to me that yours are not on there because they are some of the best I've read. :) Comments: I too check the Filmmaker Blog daily. Very useful, and you get a couple new posts on there per day. I also check TrulyFree Film daily too. (RSS? What's that?) But TrulyFreeFilm is so new...or at least so new to me. I don't think enough people have heard of it. It also doesn't incorporate your Twitter feed, whichi s much more active than your blog. A lot of really interesting, useful info in your Twitter feed. Of course, Facebook is a powerful way to raise awareness of your blog too. Comments: same thought here, ted... I was happy to see the unsung filmmaker resource DVXuser.com listed, they are the best kept secret on the internet. but at the same time, filmmaker magazine's blog, your blogs and the goddamn workbook project should have been within the first ten sites listed in that article. no doubt they'll "catch up" with who is on the bleeding edge when they compile next year's list. Comments: I don't think a lot of thought went into that list. As a screenwriter I noticed several screenwriting websites that provide marginal services to screenwriters. They're fairly well known but not the least bit useful. Comments: I was surprised as well. Don't worry, though, there are tons of us who know just how important a voice TFF has. Comments: The excellent WorkbookProject.com site is also not on the list. Huge omission. Comments: I can think of quite a few websites that were not on the list. Thank goodness for web searching.
